Temperance
Temperance is one of the Big Six core happiness virtues. It means doing a little of what you fancy but having some restraint and self control.
Humility
Know yourself: the things you plan to improve as well as the great things about you. It will help you to keep a cool head, leading you to avoid excess and find one of the keys to long lasting happiness. Maybe you could ask an older person for their advice, and think carefully about following it. Or think about someone you admire. Is there something about them that you would like to be or do? What will your first step be to achieving that?
Prudence
Take care to resist things that you will regret later. Keep some control of yourself and your life. It could be as simple as eating half a bar of chocolate and saving the rest for another day. You'll feel much better for it.
Self-control
You can learn to feel more in control of your own emotions and actions. Practice self control to feel stronger and happier. Make a point of counting to ten before making that cutting remark you planned.
